I have had a few customers ask recently what they can do to help us and other local businesses that aren’t owned by large national outfits or private equity companies. I have some thoughts on this.
  • Leave your review on Google. The other sites are only out for engagement and clicks and don’t care about small businesses.
  • Include your location in the review because it helps us get more attention from Google. So, mention that we stained your Morrisville deck or cleaned and stained your pool deck in your Raleigh backyard. That little addition makes a big difference for us as a small business.
  • If you’re angry or unhappy, please reach out and contact the local business owner first because that one-star review can deeply impact a small family business. Private equity owned chains don’t care that you’re unsatisfied, but we do so please first give the local business an opportunity to work out issues with you.
